The Betfair sports betting exchange is another source of information for you as a sports bettor. It shows you bids and offers in a variety of sports. In this video, we go through an example. Caesars sportsbook was offering the White Sox -2.5 run line at +110 odds. Betfair exchange had somebody willing to buy the White Sox -2.5 at +108 odds. This makes us feel more confident that our bet on Caesars sportsbook is mathematically profitable.
This wager at +110 odds was also a direct arb to Fox Bet sportsbook. With sports betting arbitrage, you can make risk-free returns on your capital by placing two equal and opposite bets on two different sportsbooks. This is possible because US sportsbook odds are different from bookmaker to bookmaker.
